The Tweed House, completed in just under seven months, is an example of thoughtful design and precise execution. Designed to meet the diverse needs of a family of five, this 425m² home features four bedrooms each with walk-in robes, two bathrooms, three living areas, and a study. The construction process, from the initial site cut to the retaining walls, was managed entirely by Trethowan to include a 16 x 7.5m shed, a swimming pool, and concrete surrounds, allowing the homeowners to have a personal hand in the landscaping.

Key architectural features include nil exposure polished concrete floors that give a cloud-like appearance, and a dramatic 4.5m raked roofline that enhances the northern highlight windows. These windows are strategically placed to maximise the warming effect of the morning sun during winter, reflecting light across the polished floors to naturally heat the home. The residence also boasts a variety of exterior wall claddings, each selected to reflect the family’s personality and aesthetic preferences.

The completion of the Tweed House is a culmination of efforts from our skilled subcontractors, reliable suppliers, and the dedicated Trethowan Building team, working in close collaboration with the homeowners.
